Cloud Connect CE Release Notes 26.6.22.1

June 26, 2026

As of Cloud Connect Omni Release Notes 26.4.29, customers using Cloud Connect for CE 26.04.8.2 (or later) may notice a minor update to field availability in Process Designer.

Some entity fields that were previously available for mapping may now be marked as read-only based on updated CE metadata (readOnly = true). When a field is marked read-only, it can no longer be selected as a mapping target in Process Designer.

This change aligns field behavior more accurately with CE system permissions. While existing mappings to these fields are unlikely—since read-only CE fields would not have functioned as valid mappings anyway—customers may notice that certain fields are no longer available for new mappings after upgrading.

Feature

Copy / Configure / Recalculate button visibility

The 'Copy / Configure / Recalculate' button is available on Quote, Opportunity, Sales Order, and Invoice forms. This functionality is enabled only if the user has permission to create entities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and one of the following roles:

  • Experlogix CPQ User

  • Experlogix CPQ Copy User / Experlogix CPQ Configure User / Experlogix CPQ Recalculate User (According to the button visibility)

  • Experlogix CPQ Modeler

A new role, Experlogix CPQ Copy / Configure/ Recalculate User, has been introduced. This role has the same permissions as the Experlogix CPQ User role, with the exception of 'Copy' button visibility.

Feature

Auto-select new table - Query Parameters

The parameters of a query are now displayed in a table format on the entity page. Users can store all relevant information for each parameter in this table, which is selected by default.

The table supports the following fields:

  • Entity

  • Field

  • Parameter

Additionally, the user with Experlogix CPQ Admin roles can delete/edit the records. Users with one of the the following roles can only read the records:

  • Experlogix CPQ Modeler

  • Experlogix CPQ User

  • Experlogix CPQ User Field Service

  • Experlogix CPQ User Project Operations

If users do not have any of the required roles listed above, an error dialog stating Insufficient permission is displayed.

Feature

Auto-select new table - Form + Menu-Item

A CE developer can now store form and menu item configurations for CPQ Parameters in a table format, so that the necessary information can be accessed and maintained efficiently. The following Fields are added to the form:

  • Entity

  • Field

  • Parameter

Users with one of the the following roles can only view the form:

  • Experlogix CPQ Modeler

  • Experlogix CPQ User

  • Experlogix CPQ User Field Service

  • Experlogix CPQ User Project Operations

Additionally, the Advanced Settings is visible for the users who have system administrator role.

If users do not have any of the required roles listed above, an error dialog stating Insufficient permission is displayed.

94137

Feature

Configurator URL enrichment mechanism

A user with Experlogix CPQ Admin role can enrich the configurator URL using values from CE, so that manual selection of options in CPQ is no longer required.

When a Cloud Connect user initiates the configurator, the system evaluates the parameter mappings stored in a CPQ parameter table. For each mapping, the system retrieves the corresponding field value from the entity table and conditionally appends it as a query parameter to the configurator URL. Finally, the configurator is launched with a dynamically enriched URL, reflecting the available data from CE.

  • If a value is present, the system adds that value as a parameter to the configurator URL.

  • If the field is empty, the system skips that parameter and leaves the URL unchanged for that record.

Feature

Auto-select duplication check

A CE developer can now check for duplicates in system by creating a plugin on 'create and update of xpl_autoselect'. The plugin ensures each 'Entity + Parameter' combination is unique in the existing records and throws an error if a duplicate is found, preventing the user from saving a second record with the same combination.

Fix

Compress payload for logs

For metadata requests in combination with logging, the CE Logging service generated long CE message leading to the following error:

"SaveToLog async request failed. Error message: A validation error occurred. The length of the 'inputparameters' attribute of the 'backgroundoperation' entity exceeded the maximum allowed length of '1048576'."

To prevent this issue, the logging is compressed, and metatdata requests are easily accessed.

95144

Fix

Active Auto-select records selection

Upon launching the configuration url, only active records are added from Auto-select table allowing the CloudConnect CE user to use the native activate and inactive records.

95171

Fix

'Copy / Recalculate' selection issue

When users select 'Copy' or 'Recalculate' buttons an error dialog pops-up. This issue is fixed now and users can view the option to select record.

In this scenario, 'Logger' is set to 'active'.

92002

Fix

Ordering the log requests

The log requests of all the host systems (FO / BC / SF) are in order, where the log request and the response are together. In Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, the current order is:

  • Request quote

  • Request quote detail

  • Response quote detail

  • Response quote

The ordering is fixed and are viewed in the following manner:

  • Request quote

  • Response quote

  • Request quote detail

  • Response quote detail

Improvements

Additional logging capability

Improved logging has been introduced across key CE processes to support more effective debugging and issue analysis.

Previously, additional logging implemented as a temporary solution proved valuable in diagnosing issues. This enhancement integrates that approach into the standard solution by capturing more detailed exception information, including potential aggregate exceptions.

Logging is now extended to:

  • Plug-in Trace Log

  • Experlogix CE Logging (where applicable)

This enhancement applies to the following processes:

  • Recalculate

  • Revise Quote

  • Quote to Order

  • Opportunity to Quote

  • xpl_copyConfiguration (Custom API)

  • Token retrieval from the token service

These improvements provide better visibility into failures and streamline troubleshooting for support engineers.
